Football Protection

Football may be a little dangerous without protection here is a list of protective gear that football players use. First off is the helmet, many people get tackled in football and may hit their head it is important that they are safe. Next are the shoulder pads that keep the player's chest, shoulders and arms safe from impact. After the shoulder pads are the jerseys and pants which determines what team you are on. Last are the cleats, a very important type of shoe that is great for running around on dirt without slipping. Cleats are important because they were made to be used on the dirt because no player would like to slip while they are playing.

History of Football

Football is a popular sport, I have always wondered how it started. I did some reasearch and found out. Football was originally known as rugby when ball is kicked or passed over a line. Later in Britain a man made change to the game known as " line of scrimmage" and "down-and-distance rules". A fun fact is that people belived that the Native Americans played football in villages and schools in Europe. Also the actual birth of pro football was when Yale played against Pittsburgh in a pro game. Football and rugby have come a long way now they're improved way more.

Super Bowl 2015

On Sunday the Super Bowl happened, New England Patriots and the Seattle Seahawks. It was a really close game with the final score being 28 for the Patriots and 24 for the Seahawks. In the first quarter of the game there was no points but in the second quarter it was 14-14. After halftime the Seahawks gained 10 points in the third quarter, but it wasn't over yet. The fourth quarter was a good game with 14 points for the patriots letting them win the game.
